Dubai restaurants, bars and nightclubs

Dubai has some of the best restaurants, bars and nightlife around, with something to suit all tastes. Enjoy a dinner cruise on an authentic dhow sailing along the Dubai Creek or a five-course feast in luxury UAE restaurants. Whether you go 'local' and check out the many independent eateries that line Dubai's streets or glam it up in style, a gastronomic Dubai restaurant menu awaits.

While alcohol is freely available in Dubai hotels and clubs, the vast majority of independent Dubai restaurants are not licensed.

With more than 180 nationalities residing in the city you can eat your way around the globe during your stay, but make time for the flavours of Arabia, a culinary feast complete with belly dancing, live music and shisha (hubbly bubbly).

The Dubai bar and club culture is a little different from what you may be used to back home. Local licensing laws mean that most outlets serving alcohol are limited to being in Dubai hotels, golf clubs and some government-owned establishments.

Recent years have seen a proliferation of nightspots across Dubai - locations such as Bur Dubai, Dubai Marina and Deira have some good venues. Throughout the high-rise golden mile of Sheikh Zayed Road, meanwhile, nightlife locales are also plentiful and the same can be said of Madinat Jumeirah, a prime venue for bar and club hopping.

With so many quality Dubai restaurants offering a broad range of cuisine, and stylish bars and nighclubs, Dubai is a city made for dining after dark.
